When architect Peter Foggo first designed the Grade II-listed 1FA in 1984, his vision for a public street running through the ground floor was groundbreaking – blurring the lines between public and private, business and leisure. That spirit still thrives today. Recently redesigned by Stirling Prize-winning architects Allford Hall Monaghan Morris (AHMM) with industrial warehouse-style interiors, there’s a café, several restaurants, a barbers and an Everyman Cinema on the ground floor. A stunning atrium with an art installation by renowned artist Morag Myerscough: a riot of colour that doubles as a lunch spot. And a roof terrace, with panoramic views over the City.
